Have you visited a site that doesn't seem to let you get out of it?  You click on the back arrow only to find that you're stuck.  The page that you have gone to has been set to take you back to their site or spawned a new copy of the browser.  While this is annoying, there is a simple 'work around' for those who are using a newer version of Internet Explorer or Netscape.

If the back arrow is 'grayed out', simply close this copy of the browser by pressing the X in the upper right hand corner.  The page you were previously viewing should then be displayed.

If the back arrow is not 'grayed out', then you should closely to the right of the back arrow and note that there is a small black downward facing triangle.  If you click and hold on this, a list showing where you have been will be generated.  Click on the site you wish to return to.  If you do not have this down arrow, then your browser does not support this feature and you may want to consider an upgrade of your current browser.
